Zoom Classes:
Just the one Zoom class at the moment but more may follow depending on demand! (details below)
If you have never used Zoom before, do not worry. It is free to set up a Zoom account and easy to get the hang of. The benefit of doing an online class is that you can exercise within the comfort of your own home and you do not need to travel anywhere, so it also takes up less time. You can still interact with people at the start and end of the class, and having a set lesson time gives you the added incentive to do it.

How to get started:
- To create a free Zoom account go to zoom.us (After you have created your account you may be prompted to install the app on your desktop, laptop, tablet or phone. I highly recommend this as it makes it so much easier each time you want to log in and join a class).
- Find a space in your house where you can comfortably move your arms and legs. It may be that you have to shift the furniture once a week but that's ok. If using a laptop or computer try to plug it in for a more secure internet connection. If using a tablet or phone make sure you can prop it up and see the screen. I do not need to be able to see your whole body as I won't really be offering feedback during these lessons. So as long as you can see me then that is fine.
- Email me to let me know what date you want to start and I will email you back with details of how to pay.
- Once I can see that you have paid I will send you the link to the class you have asked to join. This will be an ID code and password which you can simply copy and paste.
- On the day of the class log on with the meeting ID and passcode about 5 minutes before the start. You will be asked to 'wait' until the host (that's me) let's you in. This will ensure that we can all start promptly.
- Don't worry...about other people seeing you on screen! It is just like going to a normal class where you can see each other. At the start of the lesson I will ask everybody to mute themselves and switch to speaker view so that my image will fill the screen. You will be able to see yourself and perhaps 3 other people in a very small window to the right of the screen, but will have the option to switch this off also. It is really too tiny to see anybody in detail and everybody will be focused on the teacher anyway. Just be aware that, in speaker view, if you do unmute yourself at any point then your image will fill the screen as it focuses on whoever is talking.
- I do not allow people to record. If anyone does record I will be notified and will stop them immediately. Repeat offenders will be removed from the meeting! You wouldn't bring a phone into class and record so it is not permitted on Zoom. Similarly, you can rest assured that I will not be recording you.
- Relax and enjoy - this is your time to do something for yourself. Many of us have not exercised for a long time. These classes are all about gentle stretching to get us back into shape and breathing properly to help us relax.
Details and Booking: Zoom online Kai Men (yoga-like stretches) and Daoyin (relaxing breathing exercises)
