Rod Cullen
As early as 1975 I wrote to Chee Soo to ask where my nearest Feng Shou kung fu club was - alas Leeds was too far away then at the age of 14.
A few years later I took up Karate, achieving 4th dan and 1st dan in two different Karate styles and a first degree in Rapid Arnis (stick/dagger and empty hand). I took up Tai Chi and Feng Shou in 2014, attending Mark Popplewell's Wakefield classes. I felt my martial arts career come full-circle as, finally, I was able to learn Chee Soo's method of self-defence.
I find Tai Chi helps me to relax and manage my aches and pains, whilst at the same time giving me a tremendous amount of energy. When you discover something this good you want to share it with others, and so it was that I decided to complete my Tai Chi teacher training and set up a class in my local area. Come along and give it a go, I look forward to meeting you.
